G. Wayne Clough Georgia Tech Promise Program Overview & Criteria

Under the G. Wayne Clough Georgia Tech Promise Program guidelines, your financial need will initially be covered by federal and state financial aid such as the Pell Grant or HOPE scholarship. If these options do not cover all unmet direct costs—such as full-time resident tuition, mandatory fees, an allowance for books, and expenses related to on-campus housing and the meal plan—Georgia Tech will provide funding for up to eight full-time semesters.

Criteria

  • Legal resident of Georgia
  • Pursuing a first undergraduate degree
  • Eligible applicant for federal student financial aid
  • Dependent students whose parents:
    • have less than $33,300 in total annual income and/or benefits; and
    • are eligible to file an IRS Form 1040A or 1040EZ for the most recent tax year
  • Achieve and maintain a minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average (out of a possible 4.0); be in good standing with the Institute and maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress standards
  • Submit a complete financial aid application each academic year by the required deadline (students may apply for up to four academic years (eight semesters) of full-time enrollment)
